Totally desperate for more of my fics? Try this....

You may have noticed that there have been intermittent ao3 outages over the last few days. I know I have....I edited and posted two new hard core logo fics after the first outage, and then wasn't able to share them with anyone because the site went down again shortly after.

This has prompted me to finally add all the fics I have posted on ao3 to my website. Check it out!

It was a pretty painless operation: I just used ao3's html download feature and this css stylesheet & guide to create a folder on my website. If you have a website you could do it yourself! 

Now if ao3's servers get wiped by a big magnet, you'll still be able to read everything I've written. So check out my new HCL fics, which are kind of like remixes or AUs of each other: Writeoff and Jimmy and Crash Survey The Universe. They're on Ao3 too! Mind the tags. 

These fics come from two different attempts to fill the same prompt ("Time to Buy A Futon") for my 1 2 SNFU challege. Neither of them really fit into it anymore, and anyway I've already written a fic for the challenge, so I'm not going to add them to the collection. That's where they came from, though.

Both fics contain many tedious references to punk and pre-punk music, although not quite as many tedious references as I originally wanted to jam in there, so I think that really I should be applauded for my restraint. I also tried to parody early 80s north american hardcore punk culture, but my interaction with that culture has come at a 40 year remove, through fanzine scans and old music, so it's possible that my jokes did not land. 

Gosh, two posts in as many days. I probably won't be posting as often as this in the future. Enjoy it (?) while it lasts folks !
